Biography :
Before working at U of T, Andrea Lanza studied and worked in Italy and France. His research has followed two interrelated, main axes: a. the emergence of the socialist discourse and the making of the working classes in the first half of the 19th century in France; b. the historic-philosophical debates on democratic society especially in regard to the French context (eg Lefort, Gauchet, Rosanvallon).
